VesicAdventures is proud to announce Allysha Lavino's debut novel:
An ancient secret has been passed down through the ages.
The Heretic follows cultural anthropologist Lily Ann Harper on a quest for the truth. She's on a mission to explain the inexplicable. Instinct has led her to Rennes-le-Château where a strange old man has something to show her ~ an ancient secret, all but forgotten.
Lily's research leads her on a journey through the past, but when modern day threats drag her back to the present, she'll need everything she's learned to survive.
Good friends asked me to tell them about The Heretic. Still unsure how to talk about my first novel, I answered honestly —
“Here’s the thing … There really is an ancient secret. My teacher found it. Throughout history people have died to protect it. It’s been passed down through the ages, hidden in code. And it's just being rediscovered. The beginnings of it, at least. The Heretic is my way of sharing the real life mystery we are solving right now.”

The Mystery of Rennes-le-Château
In 1982, Henry Lincoln published Holy Blood, Holy Grail, but his research didn't end there. For the past forty years, he's been diligently working, following the clues, and uncovering our elusive past. Secrets have been handed down through centuries, and now it is Lincoln's turn to pass along what he knows. Allysha Lavino has taken up the challenge. The Heretic is a collaboration between his groundbreaking research and her imagination.
